How to Sign Documents with your iPhone in MacOS

Wednesday, January 19, 2022

You now can sign your documents on your Mac by using your iPhone screen!

The new macOS 12 Catalina operating system lets you sign your signature on your iPhone’s screen, and the marks you make are instantly replicated on your Mac’s display. To give this a try, open a document in Preview on your Mac, then click the menu Tools > Annotate > Signature > Manage Signatures. Next, click Create Signature, then click on the iPhone tab at the top.

Your iPhone screen will now serve as your signature area. User your finger to sign your name on your screen. Then click Done. Your signature will appear on your Mac's screen in the PDF. You can now drag and drop the signature wherever you need it on the page.
