Organize your Bookmarks in Safari on Your Mac

Tuesday, June 22, 2021

Using bookmarks in Safari is a great way to get to quickly access websites with just one click. Safari provides an easy Add Bookmark button in serval places, but quickly, those added bookmarks can overwhelm your list and make them all less useful. Good news!. There is an easy way to manage your bookmarks in Safari. Here’s how.

1. Open Safari on your Mac.

2. Click the “Bookmarks” menu across the top of your screen.

3. Click “Edit Bookmarks”

4. This opens a new Safari tab when your Bookmark are laid out in a list.

Once you are in the Edit Bookmarks view, you can click and edit links safely without them taking you to the website in question. Delete mistaken ones, shorten names of others. Move the most important bookmarks to your Favorites Bar. The bookmarks can be dragged and dropped up or down the list, and you can even make folders by clicking the “New Folder” button in the lower right corner. Give it a try!
